Centenary Press Release
J.A. Turner of Frilford Heath Golf Club once remarked,

…and ever since, writers, journalists and photographers alike have been capturing something of the magic of golfing at Nefyn. In the 30's, James Taylor, the famous golf course architect, visited Nefyn and become involved in aspects of its later design as did that other well-known course architect, James Braid.
Now, with its unique 26 hole layout, Nefyn is looking forward to a major year of golfing and social celebrations. Its chairman, Mr Chris Gaskell says,

A full programme of golfing events has been planned and the Men’s Captain, Mr Emyr Evans believes that, ‘the year will give both our members and the many visitors who will be joining us at Nefyn during the year, the chance to be a part of a very special golfing celebration.’
‘Through its exciting mix of competitions and social events, the centenary year will afford the ladies’ section a fantastic opportunity to continue its development of ladies’ golf at Nefyn as well as allowing them to play hosts to the many visiting lady golfers, ’explained the Ladies’ Captain, Miss Fiona Vaughan Thomas.
During the year, Nefyn will play host to the Welsh Boys’ Championships, the North Wales County Junior Championships, the Eryri past captains’ meeting and the Caernarfon and Anglesey Ladies’ County match against Mid Wales.
The club looks forward to welcoming its many friends as well as visitors from all parts of the UK and abroad to its Centenary year.
